My name is Evan Mooney. I am a final year student in Limerick School of Art and Design studying Ceramic Design. I was born and raised on a farm in county Laois, with the farm informing and influencing a lot of my creative inspiration and ideas.

The farm has been my main source of inspiration throughout my years in college. I am fascinated by the material qualities and surfaces of the farm. My current work 'SIDEGATE' is created to show a sense of place capturing the essence of the built environment and the honest beauty of the details left behind from generations of workers.

Having completed my degree in Ceramic Design I have learned that I enjoy creating pieces informed by the farm. I have learned many different processes throughout my years in college with hand building becoming my main area of focus.
